The 06.59 series was painted when the artist's commute to work became more visually interesting in September 2021 and was creeping closer to sunrise.

The vale of York became less disturbed, the mist struggled to clear and the colours evolved at this same time everyday.

This series of paintings document that change and is named after the train time.
