Lukas Jones started painting during lockdown in 2020 and is self-taught specialising in landscapes and locations with oil and acrylic paints. 

Working to commission, Lukas paints scenes to strike a strong emotional resonance, and often nostaglia, with the recipient.

In his spare time, he indulges his creativity in painting whatever comes to mind. Living in North Yorkshire between the Dales and the Moors provides a lot of on-the-doorstep inspiration.

But more often, depictions can be fictional landscapes that draw on real-life observations as a springboard in creating somewhere unique. Using the same techniques can venture into producing paintings that are more 'fandom' or science-fiction, or stylistically different, such as the black and white noir-inspired work.
